Planning has been lodged for a 100 bed nursing home on the site of the former Rectory in Glanmire
Deady Gahan Architects are happy to announce that planning permission has been lodged with Cork City Council for a new 100 bed nursing home, Childcare Facility and Training Centre at the site of the former Rectory in Glanmire.
The proposed development has been designed to respond positively to the existing context of the site. The existing Rectory building and Coach House that are present on site are to be retained and sensitively incorporated into the proposed scheme. This grounds the proposed development and aids in creating a sense of place.
The site itself provides character to the immediate context with large amounts of woodland planting along the south and west boundaries. The proposed scheme has been designed to take advantage of the natural features that are present on site with the footprint of the building dictated by existing trees.
The scheme has been designed to provide minimal visual impact within the site, allowing the existing features to take priority.
